Ibn Sina Hospital, Rabat

Participated in competition-stage medical planning, facade optimisation and environmental studies with international teams. Models compare design options, not measured operation.

02Medical planning and campus layout

Medical functions, entrances and public spaces structure the scheme. As a member of the medical planning team, I contributed to competition-stage design and worked with international teams to carry user requirements into later development.

03Tower climate interface and parametric studies

The high-rise hospital responds to sun, wind pressure, ventilation and patient needs. Double facades, operable elements and planted terraces create indoor–outdoor transitions, comparing buildable solutions for views, solar control and maintenance.

My work progressed from competition-stage medical planning to facade optimisation and environmental studies, in collaboration with teams in Shanghai, Paris, Nantes and Rabat. Models compare candidate designs rather than measured building operation.

04Public hall: daylight, ventilation and rainwater

The roof combines photovoltaic shading, indirect daylight and rainwater collection. Natural ventilation works with auxiliary mechanical exhaust, providing several environmental controls for the public hall. Drawings explain design strategies and construction relationships.
